So small, wild and sweet, Maine blueberries are one of the signature tastes of summer. Raking a new crop from the low bushes growing across the barrens is a way of life Downeast, and the annual three-day Machias Wild Blueberry Festival is a can’t-miss celebration featuring live music, artists and artisans, delicious food and carnival fun.

The festival kicks off on Friday, August 19 and runs all weekend. In honor of the Wild Blueberry Festival, we’ve gathered some fun, fresh picks in our favorite hues of blueberry blue:

The Althea Mudmee Tie Dye Short Sleeve Dress in Turquoise swirls all the colors of ripe blueberries, green leaves and juice-stained fingers into one fun, flirty, summery Mudmee dress.

* * *

The Blues Burst Killer Tie Dye Tee transforms every shade of blue into a tie dye so bold it will blow you away.

Going berrypicking on a bright summer day? Our hemp Here Comes the Sun Hat in Turqouise is stylish, earth-friendly way to shade the sun.

Pick them up and give them a squeeze—our Batik Baby Jumpsuit in Blue looks sweeter than sweet on the little ones.

Our Blueberry Blossoms Tapestry is the perfect picnic blanket or table topper. Enjoy your freshly baked blueberry pies and muffins on a handprinted field of bright blues and greens.

And these are just a few of the beautiful blues you’ll find at Mexicali Blues! Our Bangor location is just two hours from the Machias Wild Blueberry Festival, so stop in on your way north to pick your own.
