Mexicali Blues is thrilled to be working with the Hidden Valley Nature Center as a sponsor for the 2016 Live Edge Music Festival! This fabulous Maine festival will boast awesome music, delicious local food, refreshing craft beer, and even belly dancers–all set in the midst of HVNC’s 1,000 acres of trails, pond shore frontage and bogs.

This fest would be a hopping hootenanny anywhere, but it is particularly special as it takes place at and supports the Hidden Valley Nature Center, a wonderful organization that is part of the Midcoast Conservancy, at one of the most magical and ecologically diverse pieces of unspoiled land in Midcoast Maine. With nearly 30 miles of multi-use trails and a beautiful pond at its heart, the Nature Center is a environment and resource that we are SO grateful to have in our veritable backyard!

Each year HVNC hosts over 50 programs designed to get people of all ages outdoors, to learn new skills, and deepen their appreciation of the natural world.

This year’s all-Maine musical line-up includes:

Primo Cubano

The Gawler Family

Oshima Brothers

The Shakes

The festival will also feature the US premier of the belly dance troupe Sirumem. Food from the Sheepscot General Store, authentic Mexican tacos from the Solorzano family, and beer from Liberal Cup, Geary’s and Allagash will keep you going between acts or after you explore the 30-plus miles of trails at HVNC until the next band takes the stage.

There is an amazing bonus for ticket buyers who are quick to get on the bandwagon!  The first 300 tickets sold come with an irresistible offer: buy your $20 ticket (kids under 12 are free!) and get a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a meal at any of 15 amazing local restaurants: Slates, Liberal Cup, A-1 Diner, Newcastle Publick House, El Camino, Frontier, Cloud 9, River Grill, Crissy’s, Savory Maine, Le Garage, Montsweag Roadhouse, The Slipway, Rhumb Line, or Rock Harbor Pub & Brewery. Up to a $20 value, this terrific deal makes your ticket essentially FREE! These tickets are going fast, so get yours ASAP!
