March 23rd, 2016 Astrology & Energy: Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra

It’s a Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Libra today! It is a powerful time to ask yourself where you may need to put more energy in your life in order to feel more balanced and aligned with your soul’s purpose. Spend some time journaling, and work on getting clear on what you need in order to get what you want. Don’t know clearly what you want? Now’s a great time to think on that, as well! What ideas or possibilities make you excited to be alive? What is something you could aim for or look forward to?

Since the last eclipse (March 8th) in Pisces, we’ve been swimming in the deep unconscious waters of emotion and spirit, and while the idealistic signs of both Pisces and Libra encourage us to live and act with open hearts, we are called now to return to the center of self and be strong in creating/maintaining healthy boundaries. Libra—sign of the scales—supports us is witnessing and holding space for both light and shadow, in ourselves and others, as we work on this. Old emotional patterns and complexes are sure to come to the surface right now, and it’s very possible they will *feel* insurmountable. The key right now is not to deny, battle, or avoid them but to acknowledge the wounds, recognize what they have taught or are teaching you, and release them if the time is right to do so. Remember that, as with most powerful emotions, this state of feeling is temporary. An honest look is all you need to strive for.

The Libra Moon is in opposition to Mercury in Aries, which might create a powerful sense of conflict between the intellectual mind and intuition. It is important right now to be gentle with yourself and others as you dedicate attention and intention to whatever comes up, but don’t make any major decisions or commitments at this time if you can avoid it. Much will be revealed, but emotions will also be running high, so just take time to process and work things out internally now.
