Happy full moon in Taurus! Tonight’s expansive lunation is the third SuperMoon in a series of three, shining a powerful light on what you love and value. Be sure to take some time tonight to dwell in gratitude for what you do have in your life and what is working. Acknowledge the positive relationships, settings, and situations in your life, and also recognize the growth and wisdom that you have today that comes from past experiences.
This sensual sign also invites you to focus on accepting and loving yourself just the way you are, shadows and all. Let go of judgement and criticism and try to observe your thoughts and feelings with detachment. Resist the urge to classify certain thoughts or behaviors as “good” or “bad”. Can you observe yourself as if you were a character in a movie? What makes this character different from those around her or him? You are the only person who thinks and acts and lives as you do in the whole word, a completely unique being, at once “a drop in the ocean, and the ocean in a drop” (to paraphrase Rumi). You are here for a reason, and are the only one who can do just what you do. This is the time to listen to your heart and soul and ask yourself: when you think of who you want to be and what you want to do, what do you imagine? What’s That Thing, the subject that you can talk endlessly about, the thing that lights you up? What sort of settings/actions/relationships cause things around you to seem to flow almost effortlessly? Are you attracting these things to your life, or something else? Now is the time to get clear on what you want and to recognize that you have the ability to create a wide open path for them to come to you, or not.
Venus is the ruler of this whole moon cycle (Taurus, and also Libra which was the sign of the most recent New Moon), and she is in precise opposition to Chiron, known as the Wounded Healer. This alignment shines light on old wounds around being loved, accepted, and valued. Most likely these things are strongly rooted in issues with self-love, as if we don’t love or respect ourselves, these things may be mirrored back to us by people in our lives. We tend to attract what we think we deserve. Take notice and let go of what doesn’t serve you; claim your right to love, be loved, and BE LOVE!
