September 13th, 2015 Astrology & Energy: New Moon in Virgo + Solar Eclipse

Vintage-Moon

Happy New Moon in Virgo!  There was also a solar eclipse this morning at 2:41 EST, and the energy from that will be felt for the next six months.  In the sign of Virgo, this eclipse signals new beginnings in the areas of work and health.  It’s a great time to start a new exercise program, commit to a healthy habit, or set up routines that will help us manage our time in mindful ways.  Flaws in a present system may become apparent around the time of the eclipse, and we are asked now to consider how we deal with issues of organization and efficiency, and to plant the seeds of positive change if needed.  As we deal with what comes up, be aware of the tendency to be led by the biases of our personal stories.  We all have an idea of who we think we are or who we want to be in the world, and that may make us likely to discriminate against new opportunities, new information, and new connections when they don’t seem to fit with what we think we know about ourselves and the world.  This lunation encourages a shift in perception and offers a powerful opportunity for transformation; be mindful to not be closed off to something valuable because you don’t like the way it looks!

ALSO, pay special attention to the part of your astrological chart that contains Virgo, as these are the areas of your life that could use some tending and exploration.  Something there needs to be cultivated, and Saturn is aligned just right to help you make ideas you have for growth in this realm a reality!  If you haven’t had your chart done, there is a great tool for creating a free one at www.astro.com.  You’ll need your birth date and location at minimum, and the time you were born as well for a more thorough reading.
