Damariscotta Pumpkinfest 2012

Over 700 pounds of pumpkin!

For the third year in a row, Mexicali Blues is participating in the annual Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta. For us, Pumpkinfest is on our minds year-round at the office, as we think of how we will decorate our pumpkin, how our boat design will turn out, and of course, all the delicious pumpkin recipes we will sample over the long weekend! But the real fun starts the day before the Pumpkinfest celebration, when we receive our giant pumpkin! This year our pumpkin was grown by 8-year-old Cody and we are SO impressed!

Who knew our social media queen was also an amazing pumpkin artiste! Everyone loves this year’s theme of Thai Dye Buddha with a Chakra Rainbow; thanks Meghan!

Our CEO Topher also really loves Pumpkinfest! Each year he builds a pumpkin boat for the regatta, and races with Mexicali colors. Check back here on our blog at the beginning of the week to see a video of him racing (to victory we hope!).

Constructing the pumpkin-yacht… just how fast will that thing be?

Even if you’re far away from Damariscotta this weekend, you don’t have to miss out on all the fun! This year Mexicali Blues is offering a 25% discount on all merchandise (yes, even the newest goods! no, not on sale items or gift cards) in ALL our stores and online too. Even better? You don’t need a code to get this awesome deal.
